A Space to Begin

Taking the first step toward therapy can feel significant, particularly if you are unsure where to begin or have not worked with a therapist before. The initial consultation offers a calm and confidential space to talk about what is bringing you to therapy, ask questions about the process and consider whether working together feels appropriate for your needs.

There is no obligation to continue after the consultation.

What Happens Next?

1. Make Contact

You can get in touch via  email or book a free initial consultation here. Briefly sharing what brings you to therapy can be helpful, though there is no pressure to explain everything at this stage.

This call is also a chance for you to ask me questions.

2. Explore Your Needs

The first consultation is an opportunity to discuss:

  • what has brought you to therapy
  • any current difficulties or concerns
  • your hopes for the work
  • previous therapy experience
  • any practical questions about sessions

3. Decide Whether to Work Together

This consultation also allows us both to consider whether the therapeutic relationship feels like a good fit. If I do not feel I am the right therapist for your needs, I will do my best to suggest alternative sources of support where possible.

There is no obligation to continue after the first consultation.
