A Reflective and Depth-Oriented Approach
I have come to this work after years of exploring themes of belonging, purpose and identity in my own life, undertaking experiential trainings in rites of passage, embodied ecology, permaculture, eco-philosophy and men's work.
I have trained as a facilitator with The Work that Reconnects network and as a guide to contemporary rites of passage with WildWise. I have also undertaken a diversity, difference and equity training with the National Coalition Building Institute. I am presently a trainee with Bangor University on an MSc in Counselling and have completed the Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies and Theory. I am trauma informed and complex trauma trained. I hold a diploma in Jungian Psychology and a further diploma in Jungian Dream Analysis and extended trainings in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and regularly offer workshops at festivals and events accross the UK.
I am a member of a long-term peer led men's group, which has, in part, sparked my fascination for the masculine and feminine patterns of our lives, directing me toward archetypal psychologies and a deep understanding of internal family systems therapy. I completed the New Warrior training Adventure in 2022 and have undertaken the Staff Training 1 with the ManKind Project.
I am also part of a community grief space, rekindling spaces where grief can be shared and alchemised.
I have a deep interest in working with the anima/animus, or the masculine and feminine identity within the context of the lgbtqia+ community and with the experience of what is often termed 'midlife crisis'.
I am passionate about the symbolic life, connection to the natural world (with a particular interest in birds of prey) and community building. I love to play tennis, hike and swim in the mountains, play traditional Celtic and Appalachian fiddle music and spend time with friends and family. I am also a keen forager and gardener.
