Frequently Asked Questions

Why work with me?

My approach has arisen from years of work and enquiry in the transformational healing process. My goal is to bring your psyche back into alignment with your potential, attending to the present, past and future and orienting you toward radical wellness. I am a trainee psychotherapist and have trained in Jungian Dream Work & Psychology, Shadow Work, Internal Family Systems, mythology/symbolism and transformational group facilitation. I adhere to the BACP codes of ethics.

Who do I work with?

My approach allows me to work with a diversity of people experiencing a range of challenges. I tend to focus on the following non-patholgised explorations: depression, anxiety, belonging, purpose, identity, lostness/confusion,  climate anxiety, disconnection, life transitions, initiation, grief and trauma.

Can I work online/in-person?

I work with people in both an online and in-person context. If you live within a 30-mile radius I ask that we work in-person. Please contact me to discuss your needs. I believe online therapy with a real person can be deeply supportive and allows me to work with people across the globe who are called to this approach.

Is this approach right for me?

The models I utilise are holistic and integrative, meaning I draw on a variety of traditions to meet the needs of my clients. If you are looking for support in any of the areas mentioned above, then there will be ways we can work together. I do not do the work for you, but support you to develop the skills and psychological maturity to face life from a place of wholeness. This takes time and commitment. If you're looking for life or career advice please seek out a qualified coach via the ICF or EMCC. If you are experiencing a psychotic episode or are in any immediate danger, please seek the appropriate help (the Samaritans on 116 123, or the emergency services on 999).

How long would we typically work together?

I always work with clients weekly, same time each week. This provides good boundaries and clarity to our process. Such work can bring up a lot, so consistency allows you to organise around the sessions. There is no standard amount of time we would work together. Generally we meet weekly for at least 6-months. If you are seeking shorter-term work, please consider one of my private retreats, with a series of sessions for integration.

Do I work with couples, businesses or groups?

I offer work as a couples and group facilitator, supporting the emergence of both individuation and the 'third soul'; the relational field that emerges between couples and in groups. This may be in an intimate relationship, the family constellation or within an organisational context. Contact me to discuss your needs.

How much do I charge?

My fee* for 1-1 facilitation is £50 for a 50-minute session.

Couples therapy is £75 for a 50-minute session.

Groups charges are dependant on many factors- please contact me to discuss your needs.

The initial 90-minute consultation is £75.

I have a limited number of low-cost places for low/un-waged people, students and those who couldn't otherwise afford this work. Contact me to see if I have spaces available. * My fees reflect my ongoing training. I offer a free curiosity call so we can meet and determine if working together is appropriate.

What is the difference between coaching/facilitation and counselling/psychotherapy?

This is a great question and the answer is often nuanced. The former tends toward a present and future focus and is a less regulated industry. The latter often carries longer official training routes, with required supervision, practice, personal therpy and training. If you wish to understand more, schedule a curiosity call with me or visit some of the accrediting bodies (the best known are probably the ICF, BACP and UKCP). If therapy is what you are looking for I would suggest seeking accredited therapists within the BACP or UKCP, as they carry a certain rigour in their trainings.

What are the influences of this approach?

My approach to depth-oriented work has its roots in Jungian psychoanalysis, particularly classical and post-Jungian archetypal and process models. Such work stems from a non-pathological view of the mind, instead working to realign oneself in a process of soul-making (your 'calling') through work with myths, images, dreams, symbols and parts integration inspired by models such as Internal Family Systems and Systemic Constellations.

How do we get started?

Please contact me using the form, or send an email so we can arrange a time for a free curiosity call.

What can I expect in the first consultation?

Once we have decided to work together, we begin with a 90-minute consultation in which we will set out our ambitions for our work together, make agreements and undertake a primary analysis. It may be that after this session it is not appropriate for us to work together. In this case I can signpost you toward relevant support.

What is my cancellation policy?

Please carefully read my client agreement form. It will be required that this is read and signed after our initial consultation and on agreement of working together, before your first session.
